19"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with your always, even to the end of the age."
VISION GOALS
To be a spiritual oasis for the many hurting and hopeless of the greater Charleston and Summerville area. We believe God has made us and put us here to help discouraged, depressed, confused people find love, acceptance, guidance, and encouragement through God's Word, His Son, and His people at Summerville Church of Christ.
To be a rendezvous place for lost, wandering people to meet with the true and living God. We believe our congregation exists primarily for people without a congregational home.
All who are seeking the truth about knowing God are welcome.
To be a discipleship center for Christians who are serious about growing in their relationship with God. Lots of things drive other churches (tradition, ritual, events, money, personalities, etc.) We believe that Summerville exists primarily to develop ordinary Christians into extraordinary followers of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Committed to a biblical pattern of the New Testament. Sunday services and all church gatherings are for collective celebration and worship. But we believe that real fellowship and discipleship happens in our small group fellowships. The Bible calls the local church the body of Christ. As with a physical body, the real life is in the Care Groups that make up the body.
ACTION STEPS
At Summerville, everyone is part of a Care Group served and ministered to by elders, deacons, and ministry leaders within the Care Group. The All-church gatherings are for everyone to come together as a unified body for worship, praise, service, and Bible teaching.
